Library

The library of the Research and Breeding Institute of Pomology has been a part of the research institute since its establishment in 1951. The Institute including the library has been homed to the historical building of the chateau in Holovousy, a little village in the Královéhradecký region near Hořice v Podkrkonoší (Jičín district).

The fundamental mission of the library is to provide the employees of the research institute with the information necessary for their research work and to carry out related library services.

Services

The library provides the employees of the RBIP, breeders, breeding stations and the users from the horticulture education with the following library services:

• Photocopies of articles from journals
• Circulation of books
• Enquiry service

Book Stock

The book stock of the RBIP library consists of professional books, magazines, anthologies, final and travel reports. The library is being gradually transformed to electronic form.
